Service Learning Challenge is launched to encourage teachers of the enrolled schools to adopt innovative and creative thinking in engaging students of his/her class in designing and implementing service learning projects. The competition is designed to promote entrepreneurial spirit among teachers and students. It will assist teachers to acquire hands on knowledge and skills of implementing a service learning program.  The teachers will be encouraged to introduce and evolve the best practices of service learning.

Requirement

1. Each student in the class must dedicate 36 hours for service learning.

2.  Students should play an active role in developing and implementing service learning project.

3. The service learning project should be documented (formats will be provided by YES Network Pakistan).

How Does the Challenge Work?

Each teacher will be required to engage all its students in designing, implementing and reflecting a service learning project. Each student of the class is required to spend at-least 36 hours for the service learning project. The service learning project should be finished by 30^st March. After the completion of the project each teacher will hand over the complete project information to the YES Network Pakistan for assessment and analysis. This information will be verified by the Principal of the each school before submission to YES Network Pakistan. YES Network Pakistan will select one best service learning project from each school in-consultation with the Principal of the School.

When will the judging take place?

The judging will take place in the month of April. The winning teacher will be provided cash award, certificate and recognition at local and international levels.
