Youth engagement offers a wide range of positive outcomes to the society including: ü Meeting the Unmet Needs of the Society: Youth engagement helps in meeting the unmet service needs of the society. It is not possible for the government and the civil society organizations to deliver services to everyone. Youth engagement helps to break zones of isolation by reaching out to underserved and isolated people/communities with products and services. ü Decreased Violence: Youth engagement plays an important role in decreasing violence, crime and terrorism from the society. ü Building up a Democratic Society: Youth engagement plays an important role in building a democratic society. No society can be declared democratic, if the majority of the people are disconnected and isolated. A democratic society needs contributing citizens. ü Culture of Respect: Youth engagement helps in developing a culture of respect, partnership, and shared responsibility between youth and adults. ü Economic Development: Youth engagement plays a very important role in economic development of the communities and the country.
